This powerful and moving service is a time for us to come together and remember the events leading up to Jesus' crucifixion. As we journey through the service, the Sanctuary will gradually become darker and darker, symbolizing the darkness that descended upon the world as Jesus was betrayed, arrested, and ultimately crucified. But even in the midst of this darkness, we will remember the hope that Jesus brings us through his sacrifice on the cross.
